Club Celebrates 20 years
Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 4:20PM Last night the Sunbury Cycling Club Celebrated it's 20th anniversary.

Club members filled the function room at Salt n Pepper restaurant for a celebratory dinner and drinks.
The opportunity was taken to formally recognise and induct John Wilkins and Ian Parker as the club's first two Life Members.
Club President Mark Ukotic and racing veteran Tom Probert both took the opportunity to make speeches, outlining the countless hours of hard work that both Wilkins and Parker had dedicated to the club over the last twenty years.
Wilkins founded the Sunbury Cycling Club in March 1991 and grew the club into a thriving club for junior racing. Parker has been the one of the clubs longest running committee members, holding the position of Club Secretary for countless years.
Both recipients took time to thank the club members and tell a few tales from years gone by. The night was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.
In this year our 20th year, the Sunbury Cycling Club currently has it's largest membership base of all time. We currently have 45 members including seven juniors. We Look forward to continuing to grow our membership base, and reintroduce some local racing to the Sunbury area.
Chris Steffanoni
Vice President
